COMMUNITY SERVICE

Some of our activities......

  • Our graduates of the CPA partner with Keller's Community Service Officer (CSO) in volunteering for a variety of community activities:
  • Drug Takeback: Bi-Annual drug collection supporting the National Initiative to "provide a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs."
  • Bicycle Safety Training: Elementary and Middle School children.
  • KPD Cadets: We support our Youth in the KPD's Cadet Program as they train to compete Nationally n their law enforcement skills, preparing for a career in Law Enforcement.
  • PD Community Room Support: We welcome and support various community groups hosing meetings in the PD Community Room.​
  • Thanksgiving Dinner to all on duty KPD employees; Provide snacks to show our appreciation on Patriots week, Valentine's Day, National 1st Responders' Day, and Christmas Day.​​
  • Operation Front Porch - Provide safe package delivery for Keller Citizens. Packages held at the PD until Citizens are able to pick them up to keep them safe from piracy.
  • We have provide the following items for the Police Department:
    • ​High quality gun-mounted flashlights
    • Trailer for storage and transportation of emergency traffic control equipment
    • Floor jack and high impact gun to easily change vehicle tires
    • "Cool Cops" vent system to cool under officers' body armor during summer shifts
    • Financial support to the Annual Keller Police Association Awards Banquet
    • $25 gift cards to one officer and one civilian employee whose name is drawn during our monthly meeting
    • ​​Administer, on behalf of the Keller PD, the Keller Police Community Support Fund. This fund enables officers to provide immediate, short-term aid to citizens in need. ​
